Trout Lake Wildlife:

The scenery is awe inspiring and unequal with the fishing. We see moose, bald eagles everywhere and many other forms of wildlife. Best of all is the helpful staff, always on call and always friendly. The shore lunches are delicious and the accommodations are just right. What more can I say? We will be back tomorrow, I mean next year!

On our first day we snuck up on a cow moose- how absolutely breathtaking! (We have this on camcorder) Another day, we observed 4 otters playing and swimming near shore on some rocks. Just adorable! Then, there were the many bald eagles we spied, so majestic! Warren and I have been blessed by being able to stay at Boois Island.

Lake Wolverine Project:

The area surrounding Trout Lake exhibit a unique geography, which has created a perfect habitat for the rare Wolverine. There is no greater concentration of Wolverines on Earth thus scientists and biologists from Canada and the United States converge on this area to not only study but to capture Wolverines for release in the USA to repopulate the species.
